Shish Kabobs

I made these a few weeks ago. They were so good though i thought they deserved a post. I just used fresh veggies and Steak. You can use chicken or anyother type of protien and they would still be good. I just put some olive oil over them and put montreal steak season and it was very delicious. Dad cooked them on the grill. It was a nice summer meal.. Sorry I didn't post it before summer was over!

Annie, Ollie and Lizzie

I've spent the last week taking care of the family pets. It was pretty fun. Ollie and Lizzie just need food and they are fine.. I even didn't have food for Lizzie for two days but once i fed her she loved me again. Ollie seemed pretty happy, he sits with me and helps me with Annie. When I take Annie outside i try to get her to run around. So Ollie plays with her so i can be on the phone or whatever. Annie is crazy. Everyday when i come home she would have a happy pee and jump all over the place. Now that everyone is home Annie still hasn't left my side.. I guess i wasn't a to bad of a care giver the past few days..

Fringe Benefits

Today there is a company in one of the meeting rooms.. They sell equipment to make tee shirts and stuff. They do embroidery and print images. One of the men from the meeting said he would make one for me.. This was the only pic i could think of that was cool enough.. So heres a pic of my pic on a shirt..

Nobody to Talk To

Secret Shopper Fail

Last night a lady checked in. Her reservation was for a king room, as far away from the elevators as possible. At check in she stated she wanted a handicap room. With two queens. She said she was by herself though. She asked about every single thing the hotel offers and eventually went up to her room. A little while later she came back and asked about our "stay fit kit". This is small exercise equipment that guests can barrow and take to their rooms. Just a thought, how many handicap people do you know that workout? I think she was a secret shopper. but she wasnt's so good on the secret part.

Filip on the Trampoline

Here is Filip on the trampoline. As soon as someone would jump he would lay on his belly. I think he was enjoying himself. Annie didn't like it so much. She just wanted off.

Talking About a Puppy Pile

This is Annie's version of a "puppy pile" Forgive me.. You don't need an actual puppy to make an acceptable pile. Stuffed puppies/bunnies/frogs do just fine. and a baby rattle for variety, in case one of them wakes up.

Ingredients:

1 puppy
another puppy

Directions:

Add first puppy to a comfy spot. Add addtional pupp(s) as needed. If another puppy is not available this can easily be substituted with other warm fuzzies, such as stuffed puppies, or babies of similar size. DO NOT add cats!

Serious Questions

Today at the hotel i answered the guest services line. A lady said I was just wondering if you could help me make a phone call. She said the card on the desk says, "dial 9 for local calls and 8 plus 1 plus the area code and the number". I said ok, what did you need help with. She told me she didn't know the area code of the person she was calling. I told her she would probally need the phone number of the person she wanted to call. she said okay.

Someone else called and said she was interested in staying in our hotel in October. On the website she noted that all the locks to the rooms were electric. Her question was "if there is a power outage, how do i get out of my room?" I told her the handle will still work..

Other then that things are going great! and we don't have contact solution in my magic drawer of stuff that has everything..

Hate and Love

Today I went to work at 7am.. I HATE mornings.. they are the stoopidest invention ever.. I was training on the desk, i feel alot more comfortable with what I'm doing now. Tomorrow I will be at the desk again but instead of doing check outs i will be doing check ins. I think this will be a little more complicated, but we will have to wait and see..


When I got off i went to moms house. I was cutting the matts out on Annie and I accidentally cut her skin.. We had to take her to the doggy Dr.. Poor baby.. I feel so bad. She wouldn't talk to me and she would run away if i came near her. She even peed once when i got to close. After we picked her up from the Dr she loved me again. She gave me lots of kisses and when we got home she made sure she told me she forgave me..


Tomorrow I will get to sleep all morning like you're supposed to, i dont have to go to work till 3pm..

Mexican Wedding Cookies - or Something

Today I made Mexican wedding cookies. They are pretty much my favorite kind of cookie..

set your oven at 275

you will need:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 flour


Cream the butter and add in your sugar. Beat in the vanilla with a mixer, slowly add your flour. You might need to add a little water to make everything stick together, but no more then 1 tbs. Flour your hands and take 1tbs worth of batter and roll in a ball. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper. Or if your at mom's house you have a cool little rubber qvc thingy that doesn't melt in the oven. Bake for 40 mins.
When the cookies are cool enough to handle, but still warm, roll in powdered sugar.

Thats it! they would prob go good with tacos, while you sing la cooca rocha.. or something...

A Crabby Day

So today we had crabs for dinner. They were super good, I havn't had any for 2 years. I made a salad too but i don't think anyone really ate it.. Why would you if you have crabs?! Tony came too and he never had them before. So dad gave free crab picking lessons. He did very well..

Tomorrow I go to work from 3pm to 11. whoo hoo.. maybe that will generate a half interesting blog! whatever.. You can keep reading about my boringness if you want.

Start Blogging

Okay, I think I'm going to start blogging now.. Basically my whole family is doing it and i need to conform..

I started a new job this week. I work at the Hilton Gardens in Frederick. The hotel has been there for a little over a year. Everyone is really nice, and there is a company picnic on the 27th.

Today I'm just chillin' with the fam. Everyone is at my moms house. I'll prob cook dinner for everyone.
